How to overcome shyness

shynessIf you are shy and you find it difficult to copy with people, you need to read this guide about how to overcome shyness and gain confidence. Just don’t feel insecure and don’t fear about being judged by everyone around you. Overcoming shyness takes practice, but it’s worth the effort because the result is increasing self esteem and self confidence.

A lot of authors have already written books about beating shyness and gaininig confidence, but only few tips should be enough to help you in some way. Check out my 6 suggestions of such techniques:

  1. Right after getting up in the morning, get in front of a mirror and say out loud „I feel terrific! I feel terrific! I feel terrific!” Maybe it seems a bit stupid but believe me, after repeating it with enthusiasm at least ten times everyday, you’ll start feeling much better.
  2. Feel good about yourself and dress up more often what will give you an extra feeling of confidence. Knowing that you look good will boost your confidence so try to do it as often as possible.
  3. Taking risks helps you grow in confidence and self esteem, so try to do it at least once a day. You can start with overcoming some small fears and then move onto bigger ones.
  4. During a conversation don’t be afraid to let them know you’re shy. They will not misread you they will invite you into the conversation instead of leaving you just listening. People respect honesty and vulnerability so it should result in attracting more honest people into your life.
  5. Don’t be afraid of rejection, as everybody experience that. If you, for example, ask some girl for a date and she rejects, don’t give up and don’t think that every girl will do the same. Everyone has different likes and dislikes and you may be attracted to one type of person and not others.
  6. Engage in some activities that you like and that make you feel excited. Start a hobby that gives you will help you relax. Exploring things that make you feel good is the best way to overcome shyness.
