I have subclinical hypothyroidism, which means my thyroid is a little lazy, but not enough to be medicated, which is frustrating! This book was the solution to all of my weight woes. The author uses a very realistic and simple approach that really made me re-evaluate how I look at food. The "hunger scale" has helped me tremendously. The weight is literally falling off of me. I'm 5'3'' and started off at 128 (I know, it doesn't seem like a high number, but I gained at least 10 pounds over two years, which is a lot for my frame). I've been following the advice of the author and have lost 8-9 pounds in 20 days!!! I haven't even been working out as much as I should be and I'm never starving. A word of advice would be to purchase this book with the DietMinder Personal Food & Fitness Journal, as the author highly suggests writing down everything you eat. I can't speak highly enough about this combination. For the first time in years, I'm excited about bikini season!!
